Festivities, celebrations and holidays

So here in Greensboro students are getting ready to eat turkey on Thanksgiving and lots of candy for Halloween...but in Bahia Blanca, Argentina students don't have Halloween or Thanksgiving...could anyone from USA explain what these two holidays are and what they mean to you?
Students from Bahia Blanca: read and comment on what the people from Greensboro are saying: would you like to celebrate Halloween or Thanksgiving? Do you have anything similar?

halloween is a treaty holiday for us and we just go around knocking on people doors saying trick or treat but sometimes they let you know by leaving there porch lights on. Sometimes if we dont get candy we throw eggs at there home if we not that good of kids but im not allowed to go trick or treating because my parnets said so someimes churchs do awesome stuff for halloween and they give out alot of canmdy you have to get dressed in costumes and carry a round something to hold all the candy and halloween is kinda a bad day because its doing alot of celebrating for the devil.which where not supose to be doing

Hello. Well for thanksgiving our families get together and we celebrate a holiday called Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving there is a lot of food and we eat turkey and stuffing, and sometimes this jelly type stuff called cranberry sauce. its a good time to get to know what is going on with your family and stuff like that. The other holiday is called halloween, halloween is REALLY fun u get to dress like something scary or even something or someone you want to be. YOU ALSO GET LOTS OF CANDY AND STUFF..well got to go comment back please.

Hello, so in November we have a holiday called Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a holiday that you give thanks. Some families get together and have a big feast with turkey, stuffing, mash patatoes, cranberrys, corn, and more good foods.
In October we have a holiday that we dress up in crazy costumes, and go door to door trick or treating getting candy and sweets. It is a big deal to some people because it is one time of the year where you get to dress up as witches, fairys, vampires, and all sorts of stuff. It is very fun most people would prefer going with friends rather then going alone. It is a fun holiday.(:

Hi!

Im Tomorreau. I Just wanted to explain what Thanksgiving and Holloween is here in America. We celabrate Thanksgiving to show how grateful we are for the things that we have and to give thanks for it all. Holloween is a holiday where we dress up as different things and go trick-or-treating. Thats when we go door to door in our neighborhood fo candy. So thats what it pretty much is
